Being a parent has always been tough, but parenting in the year 2021 comes with a whole new assortment of challenges! Between cultural upheavals, social media, and the normal growing pains of child rearing, as parents, we often feel confused, tired, frustrated, and on the brink of giving up. This is why God has designed parenting to happen in the context of a community called the church!

First Baptist Church is committed to coming alongside parents with an open Bible and hearts filled with genuine care for children. At First Kids, we are committed to raising up children who know and love the God of the Bible and spend their lives worshiping his Son, Jesus Christ. God has commanded us to declare His mighty works to the coming generations and, by God’s grace, that’s exactly what we will do. It is my hope and prayer that you and your children join us in this exciting work!

Sunday Mornings, 10:45 am
Sunday School is the place where your kids gather with others in their grade to study, fellowship, and grow in their faith.

Sunday Evenings, 6:00-7:30 pm
Join us for Kids Worship on Sunday Nights! Children in Pre-K through 5th Grade learn to worship through music, drama instruction, performance opportunities, and more! Our desire is to instill a love for praising our Lord that will impact their lives for eternity. In addition to the two concerts each year, children will have opportunities to lead in worship in some Wednesday and Sunday services.

Hymn Memory Program
Our Hymn Memory program is an important component of Children’s Choir. The Hymns of the faith teach doctrine and connect the next generation to the great traditions of the church. This year, we are trying a new approach in hopes that the Hymn memory program will be used more readily for Family Worship at home, and this new model allows older children to help younger children learn. All choirs will learn the same hymns. Each child receives a "hymn book" and each family will receive one CD. Hymn Memory songs are available on PCO for downloading. Every child who sings all their hymns (first verse & chorus) by memory will receive a Hymn Memory collector pin for their grade level. One of these special hymns will be sung for our Children’s Choir Celebration on a Sunday morning in the spring.

Wednesday Evenings, 6:00-7:30 pm
Join us for Midweek on Wednesday Nights!
