At First Baptist Church Jacksonville, we see every ministry as an opportunity to make disciples of Jesus Christ. Our Middle School choir and orchestra rehearsals are fast-paced, fun, and intentionally designed to help our students get to know Jesus and grow in him by looking at His glory and learning how to respond. We look at God’s glory by having fun together (God is not boring) and talking and singing about Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection (this is the brightest point of God’s glory). We learn how to respond to God through dedicated rehearsal time where we learn the notes, harmonies, and words to the songs that we will use to lead the church in worship, regularly exploring what it looks like to live lives of worship. Every year the students have opportunities to lead worship on Sundays through our Multi-Generation and Middle School led worship services. We invite all Middle School students regardless of musical background to come join us as we worship Jesus Christ.
