Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse that collects gift-filled shoeboxes and distributes them to children living in desperate situations. Each shoebox represents an opportunity to share the Gospel, while showing a child that someone they don’t even know loves them. It’s not just a Christmas gift, it’s a Gospel opportunity; a way to respond to our Savior’s command to reach the world with the Good News. Check out the video below to learn more:

Do not include any of the following items: Candy; toothpaste; gum; used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives, or military figures; chocolate or food; seeds; fruit rolls or other fruit snacks; drink mixes (powdered or liquid); liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans.

occ-gift-icon.png How do I prepare my shoebox?
  1. Start with an average-size cardboard or plastic shoebox. If you want to wrap it, cover the box and lid separately.
  2. Choose a Boy or Girl, ages 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14. Print a label and mark the appropriate information.

  3. Fill with gifts. (See above for ideas.)
  4. Include a $9 donation per box, or donate online to follow your box. Click here to donate online.
  5. Pray for your box.

We are collecting shoeboxes NOW through November 15.

DOWNTOWN: Packed shoeboxes can be placed next to the tables that you picked up your box from: first floor WB just before entering auditorium, second floor WB just before entering auditorium, and second floor EB next to the crosswalk to the East Garage.
NOCATEE: Drop off your completed shoeboxes at the table in the back of the auditorium.
